Catherine McGlauchlin

Senior Creative Designer, Wauconda, IL

I’m Katie, and I’m a builder.

I’ve spent the last 20 years proving that being a designer means more than just making things look good—it means making things work. I’m the person who dives head-first into the "mess," whether that’s a tangled web of CSS code, a brand identity that has lost its way, or the logistical puzzle of a high-volume marketing team.

My career has been a bit of a hybrid journey. I’ve translated complex data for global firms like Kantar, crafted community-focused stories for local parishes, and helped small non-profits find their visual voice. Because I’ve worn so many hats—from Marketing Team Lead to Front-end Developer—I don’t just design concepts; I imagine systems that bring them to life.

For me, the best projects are the ones with a "human thread." I believe in design that is intentional, honest, and grounded in reality. I’m just as comfortable in a code editor as I am at a printer, and I bring that same "get-it-done" drive I had as a varsity athlete to everything I create.

When I’m not at my desk, I’m likely volunteering, mentoring teens, rescuing local cats, or looking for the next problem that needs a creative solution.

Let’s get to work.
